TV Ads and humour in Ramadan

There are only two days left before the end of the Islamic month of Ramadan, the most popular aspect of which is the Muslim fasting from the sunrise to the sunset. Two of the most present aspects in the households during the month in the Islamic countries is the evening meal, which breaks the fast, or iftar, and the television, to which Muslims spend hours and hours while they eat, meet the family and neighbours and make the supper. Therefore, I thought that a good way to say goodbye Ramadan is to show you some TV ads related to iftar meals and family that these days have been seen on television in the Middle East . The advertisements tend to be of two types: those that bring us messages of brotherhood and friendship, and the humoristic ones. There are many from the second group, such as this from a chain of restaurants:

The humour is also present in some of the cartoons of the Jordanian cartoonist Emad Hajjaj, one of the most popular cartoonists of the Middle East, apart from cartoons political content, does things like this:

Girl: “In recognition of the feelings of my colleagues that fast, I decided to wear a veil all the month of Ramadan.

“Chain of production daily: sleep, work, sleep, make iftar, television, supper, sleep …”.

Returning to television commercials, the best are usually those of multinationals, rather than invest money in their campaigns.
